Common Errors

This page discusses common errors and fixes for the bot.

Error 1: I am getting a notification "Bot Not Started: Account is not under refferral link. Contact @WickHunter" when I used the referral link!!!

This is frustrating and I fully understand that. Luckily, if you did use the referral link this should be an easy fix! This can be due to a few different reasons:

1) Make sure you created the API AFTER you opened your futures account. If you created the before you opened your futures account, just make a new API and make sure Futures is enabled for your API Key 2) The other most common time this happens is when you are not running timesync. Install a NTP (Network Time Protocol) app on your VPS to regularly ensure your time/clock is synchronised: https://www.timesynctool.com/

Configure as the below, replace the Time Servers with those closest to your VPS geographical location:

Error 2: I had an error pop up saying “Bot wasn’t resumed: It’s impossible to set leverage for <coin name>”?

This is luckily an easy solution! All you need to do is run the timesync tool above. Windows time unfortunately drifts at times and Binance will block API requests that are too far off as far as time!

When in doubt how to fix an error, the first thing you should do is install timesync! This is important!!
